Organic Matcha Powdered Green Tea

We Say

Matcha is powdered green tea, and contains all the health benefits of regular green tea, but amplified- because you consume the actual green tea leaves, as opposed to just the infused water like with traditional green tea, you receive a much higher concentration of all the health giving nutrients of green tea.

Preparation of traditional tea Matcha ('chanoyou' or tea ceremony style): Pour a teaspoon of powder in each cup. Pour in warm water (70 ° C). Beat the mixture with a whisk for 15 seconds until the mixture is nice and foamy, and enjoy! Preparation of instant Matcha tea: Pour a teaspoon of powder in each cup. Cover 20 ounces of water (80 ° C), mix and enjoy!

Selector's Notes

This premium organic Japanese Matcha has a delicious, sweet and balanced flavour. Matcha is made from young tea leaves, steamed, dried and then pulverized using a mill. It is the tea used in the Japanese tea ceremony, and is also commonly used throughout Japan in pastries and ice cream.
