Marukyu Koyamaen Wako 和光 Matcha Powder

Marukyu Koyamaen Wako 和光 is a Japanese matcha powder with a more refined and contemplative character, offering deeper umami, elegance, and a smoother ceremonial-style profile. Compared with brighter or more casual everyday styles, Wako feels more polished and composed.

At Matcha La Vie, we recommend Wako for matcha drinkers who want a more nuanced and elevated bowl—something with more depth, presence, and traditional tea character.
