Matcha Sifter

Made in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan

The fine mesh body of this minimal, two-part tea strainer (chakoshi) is ideal for sifting clump-free matcha. Its separate receiving dish can be used both as a vessel to hold sifted matcha and as a stand for the strainer. Made of high-quality stainless steel, this sifter was crafted in Tsubame City, an area known for its abundance of mineral resources and production of tableware and metal houseware.

Production Method:
The net is spot-welded with the main body and the ring; then the polished finish is cleaned and plated.

Specifications: Our sifter is 40 mesh, which means it has 40 openings per linear inch. This mesh size is ideal for producing a smooth, clump-free matcha with consistent texture while still allowing the powder to pass through easily.
