This expertly crafted Futagami soup spoon contrasts a warm, textured brass handle with a cool, smooth silver head for the perfect piece of modern tableware. The oval-shaped head is coated with polished silver for a refined – and antibacterial – finish, as well as an improved taste in the mouth. Although the spoon comes with a small polishing cloth to maintain its original lustre, you can expect a beautiful caramel patina to develop on the handles within five years.

Selector's Notes

Renowned designer Oji Masanori created this brass soup spoon for the Futagami foundry’s Ihada tableware collection. Like other items in the collection, its handle is crafted using a sand-casting technique that adds a unique character and durability to each piece.
